A soldier from Clark County dies after losing control of his car during a police chase. Kacey Day was a 20-year-old graduate of Camas High School. He was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, after serving a 14-month deployment to Iraq. Early Sunday morning, he sped off when military police tried to pull him over for erratic driving on the base. They followed him for several miles as he sped through the streets of Colorado Springs, eventually losing control of his car and his life when he plowed into a light pole and another vehicle. His girlfriend survived the impact, but she's in critical condition. Investigators say they don't know why Day wanted to elude police. They are now waiting for toxicology results.
