Andre Darnell Mitchell from Long Island has been killed in a crash in Iraq. Twenty-five-year-old Army soldier Andre Darnell Mitchell was killed when the Humvee he was riding in overturned on a sharp curve in Mosul, Iraq. Mitchell's mother Yasmin Patterson, of Elmont, says her son joined the Army on Valentine's Day in 2006. He was deployed to Iraq in November. Mitchell's body was scheduled to be flown last night to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
