200 Fort Benning soldiers head to Iraq

More than 200 Fort Benning soldiers combined from the 233rd Transportation Company and 988th Military Police Company deployed Tuesday for yearlong tours in Iraq. Farewell ceremonies for both companies were held at 4 p.m. at their respective headquarters, giving the departing warriors an opportunity to say goodbye to loved ones prior to boarding buses headed for the airport.
